Patterndesign student at The Swedish school of Textile
WHAT ARE YOU DOING?
I'm spending my days working and creating patterns and color stories as a part of my studies to become a print designer. Experimenting with and expressing myself through colors in every possible color combinations is something I've always loved and is something I really can't see myself stop doing. So processing colors is something that I pretty much do every hour of the day, in some way. Can't complain at all.
WHAT DRIVES YOU?
I'm working a lot with identities in my designs and projects over all, which is a subject I just love discussing in all possible contexts and is also the reason I'm aiming to work with prints and patterns towards fashion. Clothes is such an amazing way of expressing yourself and thing like fellowships or communities. It can create identities and let you tell stories just by being present.
ANY MOTTO IN LIFE?
Be you and do what you believe in, even if it means extra work at the time. It will always be worth it in the end.
WHAT DO YOU THINK IS IMPORTANT IN LIFE?
Having fun and prioritizing, always. It started mostly as something I tried to apply on my work but I've realized how relevant it was for the rest of my hours of the day as well. Having fun makes you happier.
INSPIRING PEOPLE YOU LIKE?
Can't really name just one. Inspiring and determined people in general I would say! Love meeting people with dreams and ambitions that makes me want to keep exploring and develop both private and professional.
WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO?
Right now I'm super excited about an exhibition at Svenskt Tenn in Stockholm that I'm a part of. It's such a huge thing on so many levels so can't really think of anything else than the inauguration in a week!
Right now I'm obsessing over Lotta Kühlhorn's new book "Kulör" that I absolutely love! I bought it as soon as it was released in the stores. Go buy it and get inspired!
Because POW is exactly the kind of statement of identity that I love. They are colorful, they are bold and they are absolutely gorgeous! At this point I have three pairs, but there are still so many colors to rock.
